Save the Date!

Reichenbach Falls Remembrance and Memorial Picnic

May 7, 2022, time TBD; Silver Falls State Park, Silverton, OR

We will remember the “Death” of Sherlock Holmes by gathering at Silver Falls to throw a funeral wreath, following this somber observance with a memorial picnic. Victorian mourning dress is encouraged, but don’t let the lack of appropriate costume keep you away—any reasonably funereal appearance is acceptable.

The NMSOBC will provide coffee and tea. Members are to bring their own Canonically appropriate lunches. This is loosely defined—you need not bring tinned tongue; potential examples are a “Simpson’s” roast beef sandwich or “sign of the petit fours” for dessert. Be creative,. as well as prepared to list the story referenced upon request.

Because Silver Falls is about an hour’s drive from Portland, some of our members will be staying overnight in the area. For information and further details on the event, the usual email to bluecarbuncle1971@gmail.com will do.
